Canons Ballroom Dance Club
The Dance Club welcomes all Social Dancers of all levels.
Too young or too old to dance. Never!
When was the last time you went dancing?
Come along and meet new people, make new friends, let your hair down and have fun.
What can dancing do for you?
Improve your health and keep you fit. Relieves stress and reduces anxiety.
The physical activity benefits your cardiovascular system.
Remembering the steps and making split second adjustments stimulates the brain and gives you the feel good factor.
Our evenings offer Ballroom, Latin, Sequence and some
Line Dances.
Our main club night is held every Tuesday for social
dancing and some instruction.
Dress code is Casual.
There is a Bar onsite.
Open Friday and Saturday evenings.
We hold a Saturday evening social dance twice a month.
Tea, coffee and cake included.

Classes are held on Wednesdays and Fridays.
Weekly Dance Program
Tuesday 8:00pm – 10:15pm Social Dancing with some Instruction.
Wednesday 7:00pm – 8:15pm Beginners Class.
8:15pm - 9:30pm Intermediate Class
Friday 7:30pm – 9:00pm Sequence Class/ Revision.

Dances Classes
Yvonne Lanning is our qualified dance teacher who runs the following classes.
Beginners Class
To learn the basic steps to a social standard, of the Waltz, Quickstep, Social Foxtrot (Slow Rhythm), Rumba, Cha-Cha and Jive.

Improvers Class
To further develop the knowledge of the above dances with the addition of the Tango and Slow Foxtrot.
Intermediate Class
To develop a wider knowledge of the dances learned at Improvers level.
Sequence Class
To learn a variety of Sequence dances from beginners to a more advanced level.
Yvonne is also available for private lessons.

As we are part of the Canons Community Association, we require club members to pay an annual membership fee to the Association. Payable 1st April.
Adults £20.00
Senior Citizens £10.00
Non-Members will be charged an extra £1.50 at our Saturday dances.
We are a non-profit making club affiliated to the Canons Community Association. Charity no. 303057.
Each year we make a donation to the association.
Venue
We meet at the Canons Community Centre.

The centre has a large car park (Free of charge).

Please note the bar will not be open on Tuesday and Wednesday nights.
Tea and Coffee will still be available on Tuesday.
